What is STAR PROJECT?

 

 

Star Project is an annual effort that aids individuals and families in need of necessities like food and toiletries.

Since 2012 we have worked with St. John The Compassionate Mission and Greek Orthodox Family Services and Counselling to provide for families and individuals they represent.  The majority of recipients last year were people who have been newly diagnosed with cancer, and abused women.  Please pray for suffering souls like these.

 

You can help by "Liking" our Facebook page, by spreading the word about Star Project and by contributing a donation of any size.  Item, gift card or clothing donations can also be arranged by contacting me.

If you are a registered agency or social worker representing individuals or families in need, please contact me to arrange for them to be included on our next list. 

To offer a space (Church, community centre, business) for one of our trees or donation boxes to be placed, please contact me at any point throughout the year.  Our tree will increase traffic and attention to your place of business or worship.
 

 

How it works:
 

1.     Visit our tree at any of the following growing locations: 

• The Annunciation of The Virgin Mary Cathedral in Toronto, at 136 Sorauren Avenue.

      You will notice a Christmas tree in the upper Church Hall from November 1st to mid December annually.

 

2.     Select a STAR from the tree.

3.     Wrap your gift with the STAR securely attached.

4.     Please return your gift by the designated date. This will ensure that your recipient(s) will receive their gifts by

        Christmas time.
